This Privacy Policy explains how Appora ("Appora") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Appora application and services. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, business name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Business profile — business description, brand voice settings, default hashtags, timezone, and posting preferences you enter.
- Connected accounts — access tokens and identifiers for the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts you connect. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Content — the prompts you provide and the captions, hashtags, images, and schedules created in the Service.
- Billing — subscription status and billing history. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us.
- Usage and technical data — log data, IP address, and device/browser information for security and to operate the Service.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To generate content with AI providers based on your inputs.
- To publish and schedule posts to the accounts you connect.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and support.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
Service providers
We share information with providers who help us run the Service, including Meta Platforms (to publish content), Stripe (payments), an email delivery provider, AI providers (to generate content from your prompts), and our hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers may process data outside Australia.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption of connection tokens and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
You may access or correct your personal information, request deletion, or ask questions about how we handle it by contacting support@appora.au. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
